The pendant is made of Nordic gold, a metal alloy composed primarily of copper, aluminum, zinc, and tin. Although it contains no gold, it has a warm golden hue and excellent resistance to wear and tear. This alloy is notably used in the manufacture of the European 10-, 20-, and 50-cent euro coins. Furthermore, its color naturally highlights the metallic hues of the meteorite.
The pendant contains an authentic fragment of Campo del Cielo, an iron meteorite first recorded in Argentina in 1576.
