A piece of meteorite jewelry holds an authentic fragment from space. Each item in this collection thus contains a real meteorite, identified by its name. You will find iron from the core of ancient asteroids, but also stony meteorites. Finally, a few designs even carry a fragment of the Moon or Mars.

Iron meteorites dominate the collection. First comes Campo del Cielo, from Argentina, then Aletai, found in China. Next is Gebel Kamil, which fell in the Egyptian desert. On the stony side, we offer the chondrite NWA 13290 and the mesosiderite NWA 14093. Some designs also add moldavite or Libyan desert glass. Both of these natural glasses come from impacts of objects from space.
The shape of the piece changes the way it shows the fragment. On a ring, the meteorite sits in the center or forms a thin inlaid band. In a clear screw-top locket, on the other hand, you can see it from every angle. Resin, for its part, encloses the fragment and protects it. Settings come in stainless steel, silver-tone or gold-tone metal, and Nordic gold. This gold-colored alloy appeals especially to men who want a locket. Finally, zircons or natural stones enhance some designs.

A certificate of authenticity comes with every piece. It states the meteorite used, its type and its origin. The product photo, however, remains an example. Indeed, each fragment is unique: its shape and its reflections vary from one piece to another.
An iron meteorite can oxidize after long contact with water, sweat or salt. So take the piece off before you shower, swim in a pool or bathe in the sea. Then dry it after any contact with water, and store it somewhere dry. A fragment inside a locket or held in resin stays protected.
A classified meteorite bears an official name, registered with the Meteoritical Society. Its certificate repeats this name.
