Certified Authentic Meteorites & Meteorite Jewelry

A meteorite certificate of authenticity must include the meteorite's official name, its classification, the location and date of its fall or discovery, the mass of the specimen, and the seller's identity. The name is then verified in the Meteoritical Society’s database: this is what links the specimen to an actual meteorite.

For an astronomy enthusiast, the most memorable gift is still a real meteorite: a fragment of Campo del Cielo in a display case for less than €50, a piece of jewelry set with extraterrestrial iron for around €70, or a framed astrophotograph accompanied by a fragment. In any case, be sure to ask for a certificate of authenticity.

The meteorite investment is attracting more and more enthusiasts and collectors. Between rarity, cosmic origin and tangible value, these unique objects are arousing genuine interest. But should you really buy a meteorite today? Find out what you need to know before taking the plunge.
