Mesosiderite: half metal, half rock

NWA 14093 mesosiderite. Mesosiderites are breccias: pieces of asteroid crust and iron-nickel metal mixed together by violent collisions, then welded. They make up only a tiny fraction of known meteorites. NWA 14093 was found in the Sahara desert (Northwest Africa).
