An astrophotograph of the Hercules Cluster M13 and a genuine Campo del Cielo meteorite fragment, brought together in a black frame with white mount.
In stock
This Hercules Cluster wall art pairs an astrophotograph with a genuine fragment of the Campo del Cielo meteorite. The black frame and its white mount give the piece a gallery-style finish, with the fragment set in a white disc on the photo. It is therefore a one-of-a-kind piece, both decorative and scientific.
The Great Hercules Cluster (M13) packs several hundred thousand of the Milky Way’s oldest stars into a ball about 145 light-years across, some 22,000 light-years away. To go further, our page on the Great Hercules Cluster also tells you more.
The fragment comes from Campo del Cielo, an iron-nickel meteorite that fell about 4,000 years ago in Argentina’s Chaco Province and was reported by Spanish explorers as early as 1576. Its name means ‘field of the sky’. You can also read our article: The story of the Campo del Cielo meteorite.
Thus, an astronomy lover will see it as both a decorative object and a real piece of space. Indeed, our meteorites come from members of the IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association). The certificate of authenticity also comes with the frame: it stays visible at the front, under the glass. Our guide also explains what a meteorite certificate is for. Moreover, it is a one-of-a-kind piece: you receive the exact frame pictured. Finally, La Poste delivers your parcel with care, worldwide.
