An astrophotograph of the comet and two genuine fragments (Aletai and NWA 13290), brought together in a black frame with white mount.
In stock
This comet wall art pairs an astrophotograph with two genuine meteorite fragments: Aletai and NWA 13290. The black frame and its white mount give the piece a gallery-style finish, with the fragments set in a white disc on the photo. It is therefore a one-of-a-kind piece, both decorative and scientific.
As it nears the Sun, a comet’s nucleus of ice and dust warms up and releases a coma and a tail that can stretch for millions of kilometres.
Thus, two fragments share the same disc. Aletai is an iron meteorite from the Chinese Altai, with a distinctive metallic sheen. NWA 13290 is an H6 ordinary chondrite, a stony meteorite found in 2019 in Algeria. Each one also has its own certificate. You can also read our article: All about the Aletai meteorite.
Thus, an astronomy lover will see it as both a decorative object and a real piece of space. Indeed, our meteorites come from members of the IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association). The certificates of authenticity also come with the frame, one per fragment: you will find them on the back. Our guide also explains what a meteorite certificate is for. Moreover, it is a one-of-a-kind piece: you receive the exact frame pictured. Finally, La Poste delivers your parcel with care, worldwide.
